Room, the novel by Emma Donaghue, was the first book to be discussed when the book group was launched on April 20, 2011. Sue Marshall suggested a reading evening for the members of the Women’s Guild and that evolved to become the Clifford book group.

Since then they have read more than 70 books and, generally speaking, meet on a Wednesday towards the end of the month at someone’s house. People are welcome to dip in and out – it’s a very casual arrangement – and if you’d like more details then contact Julia Shearing on 01789 204718.
